Special Education
-
Special education services are provided to students who have been identified with a disability and need support in order to access the general curriculum. These services are mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and may include customized instruction, related services, and accommodations.
The Special Education Information Center (SPEDTex) provides resources and interactive features for increasing family awareness of disabilities and special education processes, with the goal of improving partnerships between schools and families.
